Newly signed Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, posted a lengthy message on Instagram explaining the reasons for his actions over the past month as he sought to force a transfer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has attempted to apologize to Borussia Dortmund fans following his deadline day transfer to Arsenal.

The Gabon international joined the Gunners for £55 million after a prolonged transfer saga which saw Aubameyang internally suspended by Dortmund as he looked to force a move to the Premier League.

However, Aubameyang has apologized for his actions, thanking BVB fans for their patience and claiming that some of his decisions were simply down to the fact that he is ‘crazy.’ The 28-year-old posted a lengthy Instagram message to his former club and their supporters. He wrote on Instagram:

“First of all I want to say sorry for what happened during the last month,” the post began.

“But I wanted to leave already last summer. Back then it did not work out, so it had to be now. Maybe it was not the best decision, but everybody knows Auba is crazy – and yes – I am a very crazy guy, hahaha.

“I made mistakes, but never had bad things in mind. I will never forget those four and a half years at Borussia Dortmund.

“You gave me the strength to be at that level I reached now. Thanks to the whole BVB family, the fans, the club, the staff and of course my teammates. Your Auba17”
