President Buhari’s son, Yusuf Buhari, has returned to Nigeria after undergoing further treatment for the head injuries he sustained in a motorbike accident he was involved in last December while racing with a close friend, Bashir Gwandu. You’ll recall he was flown to Germany for further treatment earlier.

According to Thisday, Yusuf returned to Nigeria yesterday February 26. Yusuf had broken a limb and sustained an injury to the head in an accident when himself and his friend, Bashir Gwandu, were having a motorbike race in Abuja. He was rushed to the Cedarcrest hospital in Abuja where he had undergone a surgery at a clinic in Abuja. He was later transferred to Germany for further medical attention.

You’ll recall Bashir Gwandu, Yusuf Buhari’s friend was involved in the bike accident that happened in Gwarimpa, Abuja on Tuesday. Bashir and Yusuf were riding their power bikes together when the accident happened.

According to reports, Yusuf was about to overtake Bashir’s bike when he lost control and they collided. Both of them sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Cedarcrest Hospital. Bashir is reportedly in a coma right now. Yusuf who is President Buhari’s only son, broke his limb and had a head injury. He has undergone surgery and is said to be in a stable condition.
