A video showing the last moments of dance-hall artist, Ebony Reign with family members dancing a few hours before her death.
The video was shot the same day Ebony died. The 20-year-old was in a good mood while spending time with her family. Her mother had reportedly just come back from the UK and Ebony went to her. Unfortunately, she met her premature death on return. Ebony died Thursday evening in a heavy traffic accident on Sunyani-Kumasi Road.

According to the police, the 20-year-old singer and two military officers were in an SUV and drove from Sunyani to Kumasi as it collided head-on with a VIP bus heading for Sunyani from Kumasi. Ebony was squeezed to death along with a young woman who was also trapped in the video of Ebony’s last moments.

The two officers in the SUV have also died. Ebony and her companion both died in the same clothes they wore in the video of their last moments.

You’ll recall that the Ghanaian dancehall singer who was on board a Jeep with two military officers and was reportedly heading to Kumasi from Sunyani, died in a car crash after the car she was in with registration AS 497—16, collided with VIP bus. The death of the dancehall singer born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng and known for her hit songs “Poison” and “Kupe”, came just one week to her birthday as she would have turned 21 on February 16. It was gathered that Ebony Reigns who was rushed down to Bechem Government Hospital after the accident alongside the two military personnel, died shortly after while her driver survived but unconscious.

DSP Adusei, who confirmed the incident told Joy News that the bodies have been deposited at Mankraso Hospital Morgue in the Ashanti Region, as Barimaba Yusif, a journalist with a local radio station, After-2 FM said on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM Friday that the road on which the accident occurred was in a bad state.

The journalist who tried narrating what led to the accident, claimed that the driver of the Jeep in which Ebony Reign was travelling in had attempted to avoid running into a heap of sand that was being used for road construction, but instead ran into the VIP bus travelling in the opposite direction.

Ebony Reign was discovered by renowned musician and entrepreneur Bullet of Ruff n Smooth fame when she sent a recording of her voice and was signed to his Rufftown record label just a day after listening to the recording.

Ebony came out with her first single, “Dancefloor”, in December 2015 with a video and audio release. The song became a hit on radio landing her nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards. In March 2016 Ebony released her major hit single “Kupe”, which is a household anthem in Ghana and some other African countries.
