Stella Adele who graduated with a second class upper degree from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State but is now a  Keke NAPEP rider in Lagos.

Stella is providing to be the exception to the rule in a male dominated transport sector in Nigeria. She competes favorably with her male colleagues despite the society’s unwritten law that being a driver is not a woman’s job.

According to the woman, she used to have a day-job but she was not getting maximum satisfaction from the job. She mentioned that the job was not even enough to care for her family, so she decided to go for a more flexible job that will offer her more time and at the same time make more money.

Adele eventually sought the advise of a friend who told her how lucrative the Keke Business is.

With the support of her brother and a loan from the bank, she was able to start her own ‘keke’ business and she does it proudly with every bit of happiness.

The woman even stated that she makes on the average N8,000 to N12, 000 on a daily basis and on days that business doesn’t go so well, she makes nothing less N7,000

When she was asked about her future plans and if she intends to run the business for a very long time, Adele opened up saying she intends to buy a bus in the future from the proceeds she gets from her Keke NAPEP business
