Katy Perry’s run as an American Idol judge this year is going to be one to remember as the Roar singer caused chaos during auditions trying to dance with one of the contestants.
Contestant Michelle Sussett brought the fire with her version of Selena’s Techno Cumbia, and soon got judges Katy, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan up on their feet. Michelle asked Katy to dance with her, and the pair started dropping it like it’s hot. But as anyone who has attempted this move in heels knows there’s a always a risk of hitting of deck, and that’s exactly what happened to Katy. Thankfully there was an artfully placed American Idol logo keeping it PG as she was sprawled on the floor prompting Luke and Lionel to rush to her aid – not without getting a couple comments in first.
Luke said: ‘There are some things a man can’t unsee!’ Lionel added: ‘There are some things you have to do for the business!’ Of course Katy totally laughed it off. Michelle was later praised by the California Gurls singer for her ‘fearlessness’ and was hailed ‘the next Jennifer Lopez’ by Bryan.
