Following the release of her latest singles, Barbie Tingz and Chun Li, Nicki Minaj in an interview on Zane Lowe‘s Beats 1 show earlier today, spoke about Cardi B, Meek Mill, Drake and more.
Nicki Minaj said that Cardi’s “disregard” of her verse on Migos‘ Motor Sport where she featured alongside the Bodak Yellow star hurt her deeply. In her words;
I remember when I first came in the game… I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you. The first interview she did, it just hurt me because she looked so aggravated and angry. She just kept saying she didn’t hear it…. I was like, What?
She went further to state that Quavo pitched the idea of Motor Sport to her first, adding that she indicated interest. He later texted her asking if Cardi could be on the track to which she also gave consent.
Nicki Minaj also cleared the air on why she didn’t shoot her part on the Moto Sport video along with Migos and Cardi B, blaming it on a scheduling conflict with her stylist.
She also stressed that Cardi B has never shown her “genuine love” and even goes ahead to list all the next rated acts that have shows her “genuine love” in recent times.
