Avicii passed away 20 April and it has since been alluded to by his family the superstar DJ died by suicide. Further to that, it has was today reported by TMZ that the 28-year-old’s cause of death was blood loss, after his body was found in Muscat, Oman, while he was on a break with friends. The website added ‘multiple sources familiar with the circumstances surrounding the DJ’s death’ confirmed he did die by suicide. Last week the artists’ family released a second statement on the passing of the artist – real name Tim Berling – that said that he ‘could not go on any longer’.
The statement, translated from Swedish, read: ‘Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. An overachieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.
