A 19-year old, Ibrahim Adisa, has revealed that his skills in criminal activities in Lagos were what made him to be conferred with the title Cowboy by his members. He also revealed that despite his small nature that he had participated in so many criminal activities within Mushin area and its environs.

Cowboy, who resided at Ojuwoye Street in Mushin, added that despite his smartness in stealing from people that he had never used gun to cause violence or rob people.

He said that he grew up in Mushin area where he started stealing at a very tender age and had continued until he was arrested recently.

The suspect was arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrates court for stealing and he pleaded guilty.

He pleaded with the court to give him a second chance, as he had realised that stealing will not lead him to a better future and will get engaged in a legitimate means of livelihood in the society if pardoned.

It was reported that Adisa was arrested after he stole a tricycle with registration number, BDG932QB from where it was parked by the owner, one Jamiu Yakubu at LUTH Road in Mushin, Lagos.

However, the owner trailed him, recovered the tricycle and handed him over to the police at Olosun Division for prosecution.

At the Isolo Magistrates court, the prosecutor, Mr. Oje Uagbale presented the facts on how Adisa stole the tricycle which Adisa confirmed and pleaded for leniency.

The prosecutor urged the court to convict and sentence him accordingly so that it will serve as deterrent to others who might want to commit a similar offence in future.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Teluwo found him guilty as charged and sentenced him to community service.

However, the court warned him that if he caught again for any offence and brought to court, that he will stay for longer period in prison.
