All seems not to be well between Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu and his wife Veronica as the couple have both unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Checks by our correspondent on the couple’s Instagram pages showed that Veronica had also reverted to her maiden name Chiugo Veronica Akaolisa.
Ogu and Veronica, who got married in December 2015, have deleted photos of each other, which they took together, on their Instagram pages. Both of them now have only their personal photos, while none of their wedding photos was seen.
Ogu, who frequently flaunts his family online, has since ceased from posting photos of Veronica on his page. The Nigerian international has also stopped wearing his wedding ring in the recent photos he posted. He now has just a single photo of their daughter on his page, which was posted in 2017.
Veronica, who moved to Israel after their wedding, has reportedly relocated to Nigeria. She has also removed the title ‘wife’ from her Instagram bio space.
Ogu made the headlines in October 2015 when he proposed to Veronica on the field after a match involving his club Hapoel Beer Sheva. Veronica had described the action as one of the best moments of her life as she never expected such a proposal from Ogu.
They had their formal wedding at the Federal Marriage Registry in Ikoyi in November 2015.
