Hello everyone,
Earlier this year, we started a fundraising campaign for my brother who needed to go to India for a Bone Marrow Transplant. We were able to raise about 11 million naira and his company (Kia Motors) took care of the flight expenses. Abiola Abdulwaheed has since been going through specialised treatment at Apollo Hospital in India and we have seen obvious encouraging improvements in his health.
However, unfortunately, on getting to India, there were unforseen complications arising from the chemotherapy treatment, which required hospital admissions for up to a month and also complications arising from the fracture of his right acetabulum, which means he will be needing a hip replacement.
These things were not budgeted for in the first place, and now we have realized that we will be needing about 6.7 million naira to complete his treatment, renew his visa, and ultimately bring him back home in good health.
We have been very reluctant to restart the campaign, but at this point, we have exhausted other avenues of getting funds to no avail, and we have about two weeks to his Transplant procedure.
Here we are, we have to once again believe in humanity, we believe that the good people who helped us raise about 11 million naira in less than 2 months will help us raise the 6.7 million naira we need now. We have faith that you will all help us finish what we started. That you will help us bring Abiola back home healthy.
