Meghan Markle’s Dad Says He’s Been ‘Frozen Out’ By The Royal Family

Meghan Markle’s dad fears he’s being ‘frozen out’ by the Royal Family and says he didn’t get a Father’s Day card after his Good Morning Britain interview. Thomas Markle discussed his daughter and her husband’s plans to have children – as well as Prince Harry’s views on Brexit, with Piers Morgan last week. The 73-year-old was reportedly paid £7,500 for the tell-all TV interview, which he did to ‘clear up’ negative press following stage paparazzi photos and missing the royal wedding.

A source told the Sun on Sunday: ‘There has been nothing from the palaces, which he is surprised about. He just hopes the interview hasn’t affected things. ‘He wanted to discuss travelling to the UK, or the couple visiting him. He still hasn’t met Harry and is desperate for it to happen.’ In the interview, Mr Markle revealed that Meghan cried when he told her he couldn’t make it to the royal wedding in Windsor on 19 May, due to illness. However, in a more controversial comment he revealed that the Duke of Sussex is ‘open to Brexit’ and that Harry believed President Donald Trump should be ‘given a chance.’
