Donald Trump’s ‘Mental Decline Can’t Be Denied’ – Former Assistant, Omarosa

Donald Trump has shown a ‘mental decline that could not be denied’, a former White House staffer, Omarosa has claimed in an explosive new book. Omarosa Manigault-Newman, who first met the president when she appeared on The Apprentice, has expressed serious concerns about his mental state. The 44-year-old served as an assistant to the president before leaving her post at the White House in December 2017.

And she has revealed all about her thoughts on the president in an excerpt from her new book Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House, obtained by DailyMail.co.uk. Omarosa said she was particularly disturbed by an interview he gave to Lester Holt last May. She writes: ‘While watching the interview I realised that something real and serious was going on in Donald’s brain. His mental decline could not be denied.’ During the interview, Mr Trump went against the party line that former FBI chief James Comey was fired following a Department of Justice recommendation.

The president also revealed he directly asked Mr Comey if he was being investigated over alleged ties with Russia. Omarosa adds: ‘Throughout this erratic and contradictory interview, I kept thinking, ‘Oh no! Oh no! This is bad!

‘Donald rambled. He spoke gibberish. He contradicted himself from one sentence to the next.’ The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
