Aretha Franklin has been visited by Stevie Wonder and Reverend Jesse Jackson, as she remains seriously ill. The 76-year-old soul legend has been reported to be ‘gravely ill’, with her loved ones gathered to say their goodbyes, but her nephew Tim Franklin has now revealed she is in good spirits and at home, although there are concerns over reports her death is said to be imminent. Franklin’s publicist Gwendolyn Quinn told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Wonder, Jackson and Franklin’s ex-husband, actor Glynn Turman, have all visited her at home. Wonder produced several of the songs on Franklin’s latest album.

Though it had been reported the Respect singer has been battling a long illness, her family remain hopeful she will recover. Her nephew Tim told People: ‘She is sick [but her family are] trying to keep her spirits up and go from there. ‘We believe she’ll pull through it, she believes she’ll pull through it, and that’s the important thing.’
