Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings

This recipe for salt and pepper chicken wings is simply amazing! its probably the simplest wings you will ever make, but the flavor in this is everything but simple! Generously seasoned with salt and pepper and the best part, it is baked to crisp perfection.

When guests come over this is one of the easiest things to whip up to go with a nice cold drink, watching a good game or Tv show. Trust me your guests will want more!

When i made this the other day, i could barely get one piece for myself, my friends were all over the wings and before i knew it, it was all gone. So this recipe is a tested and trusted one.

I think chicken wings are much better when baked with a little Corn flour/Corn Starch for that extra crisp!

Ingredients

10 Full Chicken Wings
1/2 Tsp Garlic powder
2 1/2 Tbsp Corn Starch
1/2 Tsp Curry Powder
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp Salt

Dry Sauce

1/2 Cup Spring Onions (Chopped)
1 Clove Garlic (Minced)
1/2 Tsp Curry Powder
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp Salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Cut the chicken wings separating the tips and dividing the drum sticks and the flat. Put the tips aside, only the flat and drum sticks will be used in this recipe. Make sure your chicken is dry before you season it to allow the seasoning go in to the chicken properly.
  3. To mix the seasoning, get a bowl, add some curry powder, garlic powder, salt and some black pepper. Whisk them altogether and pour in the dry chicken wings.
  4. Add in corn starch.
  5. Mix the chicken and the seasoning very well till every piece is coated with the seasoning and corn starch. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Get a baking tray and line it with some foil paper and put a cooling rack over it to create sort of a placement for the chicken wings in the oven.
  7. Spray the cooling rack with some cooking oil.
  8. Arrange the seasoned chicken wings on the rack and prepare to bake them.
  9. Place the Chicken wings in the oven for 40 minutes and flip to the other side half way through to allow both side bake properly.
  10.  To make the dry sauce to toss the baked wings in, put a pan on fire, when hot, pour a little coconut oil in the pan and allow to heat up.
  11. Add some minced garlic to the pan and cook on medium heat for 1 minute.
  12. Add the spring onions to the pan, them some black pepper, some salt and some curry powder to add some flavor to the spring onion.
  13. Pour the spring onion sauce over the baked chicken wings and toss it.
  14. Enjoy!
