D’Tigress forward Evelyn Akhator is among the 14 players shortlisted for the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup MVP, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Akhator has featured in the D’Tigress’ four games totaling 58 points with an average of 14.5 points per game, 10.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

The 23-year-old Dallas Wings star will battle 13 others for the coveted prized.

Other nominees for the award are Ting Shao (China), Emma Meesseman (Belgium), Breanna Stewart (USA), Liz Cambage (Australia), Sandrine Gruda (France), Astou Ndour (Spain).

Tina Charles (USA), Endene Miyem (France), Brittney Griner (USA), Marta Xargay (Spain), Kim Mestdagh (Belgium), Marine Johannes (France) and Alba Torrens (Spain) complete the list.
