Atiku Weeps Profusely After Obtaining N12m Presidential Form

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, wept profusely on Friday at the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Headquarters in Abuja after obtaining his 2019 presidential nomination form which costs N12 million.

The form, which was presented to Atiku by his supporters at the said venue, was reportedly purchased from donated funds by over 2, 000 members of various support groups of the former Vice Presented.

The gesture which reportedly tickled Atiku’s emotions caused the presidential aspirant to break down in tears when he was presented the form.

Speaking after receiving the form, Atiku said: “Today’s event is significant and historical, because it is the first time in three decades of my political career that young men and women used their hard earned money to purchase nomination and expression of interest forms for me without my permission or consent.

“One the of the support group leader, in her speech, forced tears down my cheek when she highlighted several socioeconomic, security and political challenges being faced in Nigeria today.”

Meanwhile, the Director General of the Atiku Campaign Organisation, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, in his welcome address, thanked the leadership of the various groups for the gesture, urging them not to relent in their grassroots campaign for the former Vice President’s election in 2019.

Atiku had previously announced his intention to run for president under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
