Cardi B denies posting transphobic meme on Facebook, fired team member who did

Cardi B did not post that offensive meme – but the team member who did, doesn’t have a job any more. The musician took to Twitter to deny uploading a Facebook post using the word ‘Tranny’ this week and insist she has no access to that account. She wrote: ‘It’s come to my attention that there have been offensive posts made on what used to be my Facebook page.

‘For the past year and a half a FORMER team member has been the only one with access to the account.’ With that, Cardi hinted that she’d dismissed the team member who posted the meme, which featured a character looking of the window with the words: ‘I hope nobody sees this Tranny leave my house.’

However, Cardi’s following were quick to point out that in the past she has been filmed using the same slur repeatedly in a video. She apologised in May, saying: ‘I know I have use words before that I wasn’t aware that they are offensive to the LGBT community. (sic) ‘I apologise for that. Not everybody knows the correct “terms” to use I learned and I stopped using it.’
