A 12-year-old girl was pictured grasping her older sister’s hand in a tragic final photograph hours before she died. Both girls were seriously injured when they lost control of an ATV quad bike and crashed into a tree. Riley Robinson was taken off life support after it became clear she wouldn’t recover, while her sister Peyton, 14, remains in a critical condition.
The photo shows both girls in casts and neck braces, lying in hospital side by side just hours before Riley passed away. Their parents shared the photo to speak out about how Riley was able to save the lives of six other children by donating her organs. ‘I think the hardest thing we did was signing the paper for organ donation,’ father Larry Robinson told Fox 2 Detroit.
‘I don’t get our daughter back but there are six families that get a little more time to spend with their loved ones.’
