Residents of Aduwan II, in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State yesterday woke up with news of one Emmanuel Madakiya, who was macheted to near death, close to Aduwan II River.
A resident of the area who was among the early people called to the rescue the victim, Mr. Sunday Emmanuel, said that the victim was seen helpless in pool of blood in the early hours of yesterday, when a hunter by name Emmanuel Bala, popularly known as mobile, was passing by to check his traps.
He said although the victim was very week and helpless when he was found, he was able to describe the physical looks of the person that attacked him and gave his name as Emma.
The victim is currently undergoing treatment at Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial hospital. .
Investigations further revealed that a suspect has been arrested by the police and is being interrogated to ascertain his level of culpability on the matter.
