Omisore Joins APC Stalwarts For Celebration At Osun Govt House After Election. Photos

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and other well wishers for celebration at the Osun state government house as they await for the official announcement of the gubernatorial election result after today’s rerun which is said to favour the APC candidate, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.

Gboyega Oyetola, is leading in three out of the four local government areas where the rerun election held after the collation of results at the various polling units. .

Other dignitaries at the Osun government house are, Kano governor; Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje with his Osun counterpart Rauf Aregbesola, Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa, the Governor elect of Ekiti Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Information Alhaji Lai, the Oluwo of Iwo land, Abdulrasheed Akanbi and others.

Oyetola swept the two polling units in Ile-Ife. In Ife south, Oyetola got 283 votes, while Ademola Adeleke, the PDP candidate, got 15 votes. In Ife north, APC got 126 votes, while Adeleke got just two votes.

The result of the voting at ward 5 unit 7 at Alekuwodo in Osogbo also favoured the APC candidate. He got 299 votes, while the PDP candidate got 165 votes.
