The X-Files star Peter Donat dies aged 90

X-Files star Peter Donat has sadly passed away aged 90. His wife confirmed that the actor, who played Agent Fox Mulder’s father on the popular TV show, passed away due to complications with diabetes. Talking to the New York Times, she revealed that he died at his home in Point Reyes Station, Calif. The star had featured on a number of TV shows including the likes of The F.B.I, Hawaii Five-O, Mannix, McMillan & Wife and Murder, She Wrote. He was also a popular actor on stage, and had played a number of roles such as Cyrano de Bergerac, Prospero, Shylock, King Lear and Hadrian VII. Speaking about his time on stage, Peter told The Honolulu Advertiser in 1984: ‘It’s the closest thing to the ideal creative life.
