Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, trained with his Italian outfit, Torino on Thursday afternoon after returning from international duty, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
Aina, who missed out on a place in Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup featured in the Super Eagles 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double -header against the Mediterranean Knights.
He came on as a substitute for the injured Shehu Abdullahi in the first leg at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo last Saturday and featured for 90 minutes in the reverse fixture on Tuesday in Sfax, Tunisia.
“Technical and tactical session for Torino in Philadelphia, ahead of the trip to Bologna on Sunday. Group of national team players; Aina, Rincon rejoin the team,” reads a statement on Torino’s official website on Thursday.
Aina, who is loan at Torino from English Premier League side, Chelsea has made eight league appearances for the Serie A side this season.
Walter Mazzarri’s men will face Bologna in an away fixture at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara ,Bologna on Sunday.
Torino occupy 12th position in the Serie A table with 12 points from eight matches.
