Collins Eager To Justify Call-up In First Competitive Game For Eagles

Paderborn Nigerian defender, Jamilu Collins, is looking forward to justifying his inclusion in the Super Eagles when they take on Libya in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Collins believes he has the quality to hold on to the left-back position in Gernot Rohr’s team despite facing good competition from Brian Idowu and Ola Aina.

Collins adds that the most paramount task for him and his teammates is to beat Libya over two legs to boost their chances of qualifying for the Nations Cup after missing the last two editions.

“I feel very welcomed to the national team and I thank the coach for handing me another invitation, Collins told CSN.

Collins who made his debut in a friendly game against Liberia last month believes he impress with hard work when gets an opportunity in a competitive game.

“I hope to get my chance and Nigerians will see how good I am. When I get my chance, I will prove how good I am for the country.

“But the most important thing is to win these games we have been called up for.”
