Employing a child below the age of 12 as a domestic help is illegal, and paying the salary of a domestic employee to a 3rd party or an agent is also illegal and fuels human trafficking.
That was the message from NAPTIP Uyo Zonal Command at a programme organized by Production Women Forum (PWF) of Shell Production Development Corporation, Port Harcourt.
The programme was one of the events to mark their 2018 Family Safety Day Campaign with the theme: ” Taking Goal Zero To Our Homes , BECAUSE WE CARE”. Other participants included the NDLEA as well as health and fire safety officers.
