Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend has publicly offered her support to the Portuguese footballer amid allegations he raped a model in a Las Vegas hotel. Georgina Rodríguez posted a statement on Instagram saying the former Manchester United hero was always able to “transform the obstacles” put in his way.

It came after bombshell court documents seen by The Sun allege the Juventus player attacked Kathryn Mayorga, 34, at the Palms Casino Resort in 2009.

Ronaldo, 33, strongly denies the claims — calling them fake news — and says the sex was consensual.

In her social media post, 23-year-old Miss Rodriguez shared a picture of herself wearing a mini skirt and black heels whilst seemingly watching a match.

She wrote alongside the snap: “You always transform the obstacles that are put in your way into impulse and strength to show how great you are.

‘Thank you for making us enjoy each game. Always more and better. I love you @cristiano.”

The Spaniard, who has been dating the footballer for two year and mother to their baby daughter Alana, signed off the gushing post with five heart emojis.

Ronaldo himself took to Instagram where he dismissed the accusations as “fake news” during a live stream video.

Responding to a fan’s question regarding American Miss Mayorga’s claims, he said:  “They want to promote [themselves] by [using] my name. It’s normal.”

The £100million Portuguese forward reportedly previously agreed to pay Ms Mayorga to stop her pursuing criminal charges — which could have seen him jailed for life — and gagged her from going public.

But her lawyers are now trying to overturn the £287,000 settlement and she has spoken out for the first time.
