Hamilton at his best – Wolff

Mercedes chief Toto Wolff feels Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is driving better than he ever has since joining the team. Hamilton secured his fifth F1 title on Sunday and fourth with the Brackley-based marque when finishing fourth at the Mexican Grand Prix.
The British flyer’s latest championship success puts him level with Juan Manuel Fangio, with only Michael Schumacher ahead of him on the all-time list.
Ferrari arguably had the fastest car for much of the season but Hamilton’s experience was able to see him over the line, and Wolff is in no doubt that the former McLaren man is right at the top of his game.
“Yes, this is the best Lewis I’ve seen in the last six years,” he said. “He’s driven better, he’s been better out of the car. Very, very complete. But as we try to reach for more it’s never completely complete.”
And the 46-year-old Austrian has backed his number one driver to bring home the bacon once again in the future.
“As long as he’s in a good car and he continues enjoying in the way he does today, I think there’s more to come,” he added.
