Super Eagles midfielder, Joel Obi, will now work under a new manager at his Italian outfit, Chievo Verona after the club announced the sacking of Lorenzo D’Anna on Tuesday, Completesportsnigeria. com reports.

Chievo have endured a poor start to the season with two draws and six defeats from their opening eight games.

The club is facing a massive fight to escape the drop after being deducted three points last month for false accounting.

D’Anna took charge of the team in April after he was promoted to the head coach role following Rolando Maran’s departure from the club.

“Thanks to D’Anna for the work done with commitment, seriousness and professional honesty since day one,” the club said in a statement on Tuesday.
