Libya Will Be Tougher In Sfax, But Eagles Are Hungry For Another Win

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, believes his team will face a difficult battle against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in Tuesday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture at the Stade Taïeb Mhiri, Sfax, but assures his charges are well motivated to beat their opponent, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Rohr’s charges thrashed the North Africans 4-0 at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday with Odion Ighalo grabbing a hat-trick and Samuel Kalu netting the other goal for the West Africans.

The win improved the Super Eagles’ chances of making a return to Africa’s biggest soccer competition after failing to qualify for the last two editions.

The Libyans made the Super Eagles work hard for their victory despite the scoreline and created two goal-scoring chances in the first half.

And Rohr expects their opponent to prove a nut to crack in the encounter despite the emphatic victory recorded against them in Uyo.

“Tomorrow’s game will be tougher than the last one. It’s always difficult to play the same team twice in three days and win both games, but we’re just as motivated and hungry for victory as we were on Saturday,” Rohr stated in a Tweet poster on Super Eagles’ Twitter handle on Monday evening.
