A man sent sex tapes to an escort’s partner, family and friends after she refused to take their relationship to the next level. Jai Mistry, 21, ‘wanted more’ from the woman, but she rejected his advances causing him to seek revenge – which caused her to move away from Manchester in fear for her safety.
A court heard that he initially paid for the woman’s services where she allowed him to film their sexual encounters.
Mistry began to bombard her with messages, before she told him their relationship was strictly ‘business’ – and that she no longer wished to see him.
Manchester Evening News reports that he then uploaded videos of them together to a porn website.
Mistry, from Tamside, Manchester also sent videos to the woman’s partner, family and friends.
Manchester Magistrates’ Court heard that when the woman asked him to take the videos off the site, he continued to send her abusive messages.
Mistry has now been sentenced to 20 weeks in prison after admitting an offence of stalking and disclosing a private photograph without consent.
The court heard the woman has had to change phones, quit her job and move away from Manchester.
Judge Khalid Qureshi said Mistry had sought ‘revenge’, adding: “You sent links to friends and family which would have caused considerable distress to not only the victim, but to the family.
“I have considered the practical affect on the victim and the degree of psychological distress caused and the only appropriate sentence is a custodial one.”
Mistry will serve half his 20-week sentence before being considered for parole.
He was also hit with a five-year restraining order, preventing him from the contacting the woman.
