Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, was missing in action as Al Nassr extended their unbeaten run in the Saudi Professional League to six games with a 2-0 away win against Al Batin at the Al-Batin FC Stadium Hafar Al-Batin on Friday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Musa, who was on target in Nigeria’s 3-2 win against Libya in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture in Sfax, Tunisia on Tuesday failed to return on time from international duty and was left out of the Al Nassr matchday squad.
Al Batin went behind in the fourth minute with Brazilian defender, Lucas conceding an own goal.
Abderrazak Hamdallah made the points safe for Al Nassr when he scored the second goal three minutes after the hour mark.
Jose Daniel Careno’s men occupy top spot in the table with 18 points from six games, five more than second placed Al Ahli who still have a game in hand.
Al Nassr next league game is against Al Feiha next week Thursday at the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Sport City Stadium, Al Majma’ah.
Musa has scored four goals in five league appearances for Al Nassr and is the club’s current top scorer.
