Kano Pillars FC will jet out to Benin City via Lagos on Friday morning to begin final preparation for their Aiteo Cup final clash with Enugu Rangers in Asaba next week Wednesday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Club chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Tukur Babangida who disclosed this said Pillars will connect flight to Benin from Lagos because they were unable to get enough seats in Abuja, noting that the idea to camp in Benin was to avoid distraction from Kano fans.

“We are leaving no stone unturned in our quest to win the Aiteo cup for the first time in the history of the club. The government and people of Kano State are yearning for this trophy and the players are motivated to win,” Babangida told CSN.

“To show how much the government want this cup, they have been able to offset 11 match bonuses owed the players in the league and the Aiteo Cup while their final bonus will be paid immediately they win the Cup. The players and their officials are in high spirit and ready to do the state proud

“Rangers are a very good side and we saw a lot of them in Kano where they played most of their Aiteo Cup matches. We know them well and we shall do everything possible to ensure that we beat them in Asaba,” the Pillars boss stated.
