A police force had to confirm a trespasser was not Eminem after thousands of his fans besieged a wanted post on Facebook. Rochester Police Department, New Hampshire, posted pictures of a man who man who looked every inch the 8 Mile star in connection with criminal trespassing case. It did not take long for Eminem fans to start leaving thousands jokes about the star and his lookalike, there are now more than 81,000 comments, the winner being: ‘He’s probably just going round the outside, round the outside’ which has 76,000 likes.
The original post said: ‘Officer Robinson is looking to identify this male in regards to a criminal trespassing case. If you know the information about this suspect’s identity, please call 603-330-7128 and reference case 18-4300-OF. Thank you!’
However, the police force had to clarify it was not the superstar after they had identified the criminal. Rochester PD said: ‘*****UPDATE: The subject has been identified, and we can confirm it is NOT Marshall Mathers*****’
