A suspected thief was apprehended after stealing an air conditioner and dismantling it to avoid drawing suspicion to himself. The young man identified as Harrison was caught while planning to sell the dismantled AC to scrap sellers and cash out In Sapele area of Delta state.
According to him: “My name is Harrison. I broke into the office and stole this AC, I immediately disassembled it into fragments to guide against suspicion for onward delivery to Scrap sellers”.
“I usually sell a complete Air-conditioner, between N1500 -3000 depending on the horsepower”.
According to reports, the suspect was further remanded together with his buyer in police custody for possible prosecution.
