A father reversed his car over his own five year-old son and killed him in an horrific Thanksgiving accident, police say. James Walsh died after being struck as his dad backed the car out of a driveway in Buffalo, New York, last Thursday afternoon. He was rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The local Hamburg Police Department are treating the little boy’s death as an ‘horrific accident’, and do not believe his dad was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, WGRZ reported. James’ godmother Mary Rozeski told Buffalo News after: ‘He always tried to please everyone around him.
He wouldn’t say: “This is mine.”‘ The tragic youngster will be laid to rest at a ceremony Tuesaday. James’ grieving parents told the WGRZ: ‘We are blessed that we have an all-consuming and powerful Lord who has given us our faith.
‘James was born on Christmas morning and he LOVES Jesus. So we know he is with Him.’
