A 35-year-old dad and his one-year-old son have been named as two of the four people who died in a horror crash in Sheffield yesterday.

Adnan Ashraf Jarral and his baby son Usman Adnan Jarral were hit by a black VW Golf that was being chased by police in the Darnall area of the city on Friday night. Adnan’s uncle, Shafqat Mirza, said his nephew was a ‘humble and polite’ man who was ‘full of life’ and was extremely proud of his two sons and his step-son.

A 50-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman also died in the crash, and were believed to be on their way home from a trip to London. The little boy was pronounced dead at hospital.

Adnan’s wife Tahreem, her 22-year-old friend and the friend’s three-year-old daughter were all seriously injured and remain in hospital. The other two victims are believed to be the friend’s parents. Three men travelling in the VW Golf, aged 23, 17 and 18 have been arrested and remain in custody.

Adnan and his wife Tahreem had been together for around four years after Adnan moved to the UK five years ago and settled in Sheffield.

Little Usman was his youngest son, who had two older brothers, Abdullah, six, and Omar, three. Both of the brothers had stayed with a relative while the family were in London and were not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
