It’s what any father would want, to be not just his son’s father but his very best friend, too. And that’s what Will Smith has achieved.
The actor shared on his Instagram a video of him talking about his first son, Trey Smith, and how their relationship has evolved.
While they are often chummy now, going to watch a Formula 1 race together, Will revealed that it’s not always been so.
After he and Trey’s mum got a divorce, Will wrote, Trey felt betrayed and abandoned and the two of them struggled for years.
Now? Well, Trey called him to let him know he’s actually his best friend.
