The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, has taken a swipe at journalists, authors and comedians, saying they are ‘opportunists’ who bandy her husband’s name about for selfish gains.
The First Lady spoke on a TV programme on Wednesday night. She also revealed her hopes for a second term in the White House, Yahoo News reports.
“I think my husband, he’s doing an incredible job,” she said. “The country does best ever, so … I want the country [to] continue to do well.”
She went on to call journalists, authors and comedians “opportunists” who aren’t telling the truth and who use her and her family’s name to spread gossip and “advance themselves.”
Melania also talked about the advice she gives her husband. She said she keeps up on the news and gives him her honest opinion, adding, “… sometimes, he listens and sometimes he doesn’t.”
