Chelsea Fans Shocked After What Happened Between Willian and Higuain During FA Match

Willian offered Gonzalo Higuain a chance to take a penalty and score on his Stamford Bridge debut in Chelsea’s FA Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday. But the 31-year-old Argentine turned it down before the Brazil international gave the Blues a 1-0 lead – and fans hail ‘classy’ act from both players.

The Owls had a penalty overturned by VAR in the first half after the referee mistakenly pointed to the spot following Ethan Ampadu’s tackle on Joey Pelupessy.

But just two minutes after, Sam Hutchinson’s late challenge on Cesar Azpilicueta left the ref without a doubt – giving a chance for Higuain to open the scoring on his Bluesdebut.

Willian voluntarily grabbed the ball and approached the former Real Madrid star, offering him to take the penalty.

However, the Argentine refused to take it – prompting fans to praise both players for the exchange of pleasantries.

One wrote on Twitter: “Looked like Willian offered that penalty to Higuain to me, fantastic to see.”

While another added: “What a warrior!!! He doesn’t hunt easy goals like this. He’s not Cristiano Ronaldo!”

And third wrote: “Class act by both players.”
