A mum-of-two revealed she fell madly in love with a bus driver 37 years her senior after meeting him aboard Plymouth’s number 8 service.Laura Wright, 25, who lives in the Devon town, met Steve Churchward, now 62, on the bus as she was taking her son Braydon, six, to nursery.

He said hello and asked for her name, subsequently friend requesting her on Facebook.

But it wasn’t until a month later they admitted they had feelings for each other.

In December 2017 Laura and Steve got engaged and will marry this year.

The pair’s sex life is “certainly busy”, Laura admits.

“That’s despite the age gap,” she laughs.“And you’d never know Steve is in his 60s, I can’t keep up with him.”

Despite their relationship receiving a fair share of judgement, the pair say they’re happy no matter what.

Laura, a stay-at-home mum, says: “Steve’s age has never bothered us in the slightest and it’s not something I notice.“I feel so lucky to have him by my side. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted.”

Laura, also mum to Kiera, five, met him in May 2015.

Despite some unwelcome comments, Steve proposed to Laura on Christmas day 2017 and the couple plan to wed in June this year.

Laura says: “It was the biggest shock. Now we’re planning our wedding day and I can’t wait for us to be a proper family.”
