A man who collapsed and died in a London hotel lobby after being stabbed in the street has been named. Bright Akinlele, 22, staggered into The Wesley Hotel, near London Euston station, after being attacked at around 10.45pm on Monday.

Eleven people – four men and seven women aged 19 to 28 – were arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been released on bail.

It is understood a group of people had been filming a drill rap music video in an alleyway near Euston Street shortly before a fight broke out.

A source said:  “A number of people were filming a drill rap music video in an alleyway when a fight broke out at around 10pm.

“The lad wasn’t part of the filming. He was stabbed and ran for help at the hotel.”

A post-mortem has found the cause of death was a stab wound to the leg.

A murder investigation is ongoing and police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

The Wesley Hotel staff and paramedics battled to save the man, who had suffered multiple stab wounds but he was pronounced dead at the scene at around 11.30pm.
