Gareth Bale has moved his wedding to a private island and hired armed guards amid security fears. The 29 years old Real Madrid Star will marry Emma Rhys-Jones this summer on Tagomago in the Med, where he proposed.

Wales winger Bale was due to marry at Vincigliata Castle in Tuscany last year.

But the £600,000-a-week Real Madrid ace was advised to book a highly-secure venue after being threatened over a missing suitcase containing £750,000 of drugs money.

A source close to the pair said he had recruited ex-SAS soldiers to secure the exclusive 148-acre island, which costs £500 an hour to rent. They said: “Uninvited guests have no chance of getting ashore.”

Just 150 people including sports stars will arrive by launch from nearby Ibiza.

Relatives of Emma, 28, were engulfed in a feud over missing cash in 2016. Cars belonging to her family were torched.

The couple, who have three kids, are planning a second wedding day in Cardiff later for those who cannot make it.
