Uzoho is bound to receive another obstacle in his efforts to get his career back on track, following a loan spell at Elche in Spain’s second division.

Francis Uzoho is under investigation by the Cypriot Police over a disputed health certificate that was issued to the Super Eagles goalkeeper before he made his competitive debut for Anorthosis against Apollon on February 2.

Apollon complained that the Nigerian’s health card was not properly issued, leading to an official investigation by the Cypriot authorities, and they remain confident that they will win the case, with judgement expected on Monday.

The Federation has taken statements from those involved in the issuance of the disputed health certificate and Anorthosis have sought clarification whether Uzoho is eligible for tomorrow’s away game at Nea Salamis.

The 20-year-old Uzoho was invited for questioning by the police on Thursday, with a verdict on the matter expected on Monday.

Anorthosis say Uzoho is frightened and in a bad psychological condition and wants to leave Cyprus immediately despite receiving assurances from the club all was well.
