Aggrieved residents have revealed their displeasure after a pastor was filmed asking his members to eat grass. The video shows controversial South African pastor, Lesego Daniel of the Raptured International Ministries standing over women crawling on the ground, who appear to be grazing on grass.
Residents of Emthonjeni in Mpumalanga, South Africa, are angry.
“He’s disrespecting our people,” said Mthwalo Mkhonza. Another resident, Lungani Khumalo, said: “People believe anything because they are desperate.”
A member of the Emthonjeni Pastors’ Forum told Daily Sun they received complaints from residents who took the video on Sunday. “Now we have proof. We’ll write a letter to summon the pastor. He needs to tell us why he’s doing such things.”
The pastor said they summoned Lesego in 2017, but he didn’t come.“If he doesn’t come this time, we’re going to take action against him,” he said.
A congregant told Daily Sun she was troubled at home, but after attending the church and eating grass things changed for the better.
