Godwin Emefiele reappointed by President Buhari for another term of 5 years as the Central Bank Governor. He was initially appointed by President Jonathan. This is the first time since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999 that a CBN governor will serve more than a term. Emefiele was at the helm of affairs when the country slipped into its worse recession in 29 years.
