Reno Omokri objects to Church of England’s apology for saying sex is only for married heterosexuals

Reno Omokri has objected to Church of England issuing an apology for saying sex is only for married heterosexuals.

Back in January,  a statement issued by the House of Bishops, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, stated that sex is for straight married couples only, while declaring that Christians in gay or straight civil partnerships should be sexually abstinent

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York later apologized for the statement and said they acknowledge that the statement “jeopardized trust”.

But Reno felt the Church of England was right in their initial statement and had no reason to apologize.

He wrote: “How can a church apologise for saying sexual intercourse may only occur between heterosexual married couples? What is wrong with that Scripturally sound statement? Should the church conform to the word of men or the word of God?”
