Vandalism is not the cause of pipeline explosion in Abule Ado – NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has debunked claims of pipeline vandalism being the cause of the pipeline explosion in Abule Ado community of Lagos State.

 

Ibrahim Farinloye, acting coordinator of the Lagos office of the agency disclosed that evidence at the scene of the incident revealed that the explosion is not connected to vandalism but might have occurred in a factory located in the Abule Ado area.

 

Farinloye who confirmed that so many properties were destroyed as a result of the incident,  disclosed that the pipeline passing through the area was shut down by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) after the explosion which occurred around 9am today March 15.
