Mark Zukerberg has been lashed online after Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey pledged to donate $1billion in the fight against Coronavirus which is the largest pledged gift by a private individual yet during the pandemic

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of both Twitter and digital payments platform Square, said this on Tuesday that he will donate $1 billion worth of equity.

This caused an outrage on Twitter as people started calling him stingy for donating little in the fight against the pandemic.

You will recall that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg ranked No. 7 in this year’s #Forbes Billionaires list. Mark Zuckerberg’s Chan Zuckerberg Initiative donated $25 million to the COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator, to help speed the development of virus treatments.

The Gates Foundation pledged $50 million.

Jack Dorsey has donated more to coronavirus efforts than Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates combined. Those three men are all much richer than Dorsey. Dorsey donated about 28% of his wealth. Nothing but the utmost respect for this man.

@pengmanmodel

Mark Zuckerberg is stingy!!! All he knows is money! That’s why Jack is better! If they sold twitter to Mark, we would suffer ! Tory Lanez is blocked from using IG Live Cos he got to 350k views (no one has ever done that.) That’s some bullshit.

@Lifematician
That’s why Mark Zuckerberg should never own Twitter
@joelgolby
coronavirus was invented by mark zuckerberg to make us take the tape off our webcam
@Obong_Hanson
What if Mark Zuckerberg is changing from NEPA to Gen.
Is it wrong for Mark Zukerberg to donate what he did?
