Senegalese Sports Journalist, Mababa “Pape” Diouf Dies Of Coronavirus

Papa Diouf has died of coronavirus. He was Senegal’s first Coronavirus death case. He was the President of Ligue 1 club, Olympique de Marseille from 2004-2009.

Pape Diouf passed away in Senegal on Tuesday aged 68 after contracting coronavirus. Diouf, who was also a journalist and a football agent, was the first black president of a top-flight European team. Rest in power.
His former club, Olympique de Marseille tweeted:
It is with great sadness that Olympique de Marseille learned of the death of Pape Diouf. Pape will remain in the hearts of the Marseillais forever, as one of the great architects in the club’s history. We send our sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones.
