Winner of Big Brother Naija 2020, Laycon has been caught in the middle of a subtle tax tussle between the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) and the Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) over which of them is meant to receive his tax.

Laycon, real name, Olamilekan Agbelesebioba, from Ogun state, emerged the reality show winner on Sunday, taking home a grand prize of N85 million.

Less than 24 hours after he was announced as the new owner of N85m worth of prizes, the LIRS had in its congratulatory message to the ‘Fierce’ crooner, reminded him of his tax.

However, drama ensued on Tuesday as the OGIRS took to its Twitter page to call Laycon one of its own in another tax reminder.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, OGIRS wrote:

“The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) is delighted to congratulate one of our own in the State, Olamilekan Agbelesebioba, AKA @itsLaycon for emerging winner of @BBNaija Lockdown. We look forward to having a robust relationship with you in year 2021 as you pay your tax.”
