Veteran Nigerian musician, 2Face Idibia has lambasted the Nigerian government over internet regulation through a social media bill.
The Federal government of Nigeria had passed a social media bill titled “Protection from Internet Falsehoods and Manipulations and Other Related Matters Bill 2019″ which is intended at controlling the flow of information across social media networks.
2Baba, however, criticized the government for being irresponsible until the eleventh hour before realizing the effect of information across social media.
According to the 2face, countries like China had their government effectively evaluate the risks associated with cyberspace at an early stage and made necessary corrections unlike ‘greedy’ Nigerian politicians working on misplaced priorities.
